"Noah, 47 Days, & Spring"
John &
Doves,
I've
read many times how Noah's entering the ark occurred in the fall on the
"second month, 17th day", but since the Jewish calendar has two New Year's
days on the 1st and 7 months, could Noah have entered the ark in the Spring?
It's funny that September is our 9th month but Sept=7, October is our 10th
month, but Oct=8 (octagon), and December is our 12th month, but Dec (decade)=10.
I
found a few sites that support the timing of a Spring flood and they seemed
to be knowledgeable--just wondering if anyone has anything to input. If
it is Spring, we are already at Nisan 7, so not much longer until that
point this year.
The
fact that Jesus specifically mentions the rapture being "as in the days
of Noah" with people going about their business as usual makes me think
the 47 days is important. People surely won't be going about their regular
business after the tribulation, so it should be relevant to the rapture.
Similarly,
Jesus' following statement:
John
4:35 - Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh
harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields;
for they are white already to harvest.Matthew
13:39 - The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest
is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
If
the rapture happened approximately 2 months after the Spring harvest, the
four months would fit nicely into what Jesus said about those waiting for
the fall harvest. It would be close to Pentescost also. I can't help but
to also make the comparison of the 47 days of Noah and the fact that Moses
ascended to receive the Law from God after 47 days and came down the mountain
three days later.
Just
throwing around some ideas. Appreciate any input.
