Zechariah prophesied a 'Temple' that was to be be built, containing the lampstand of the Witness of 'the two sons of fresh oil' (NASV margin). It seems to me to correspond to the 'two witnesses' that Jesus Himself first confessed - namely:

1. the words the Father gave Him to speak, and
2. the 'other witness' which His Father gave Him - ie 'the works which He gave me to do'.

In this respect He is 'the first of many brethren' who we know as the true church. Read 1 John for a full description.(Surely THEY are also the 2 witnesses of Revelation)

I thought of this in respect to recent musings on 5-5-05. Grace-Grace-Grace. A suitable greeting for the the 'topping out ceremony' of the Heavenly Temple whose light is The Lamb?!
