"don't be so quick to judge"

I don’t necessarily agree with the shavio situation, but there has been a lot of judging here lately.  How many of us have had to sit and watch a loved one waste away. A person who was active, loving, healthy and independent but through circumstance has become a frail shell of what they once were.  Michael Shavio may not be the greatest person in the world, but he did have to watch his spouse for 14 years in a state that she expressed she would never want to be in.   By keeping her alive, we are robbing her of her glory in heaven and being with the father.  Who of you would chose her state over that?

The government; however, has no right to tell us what to do in this matter, it is a family affair.  The debate was not over killing her, it was over whether or not we should keep her alive. The media, as always, will influence what we see and here.  Terry should not have been made to suffer and die by hunger, but keeping her alive to me is the greater crime.  We treat our animals better than that.  It is a bad situation.  People have the right to live through the natural course of events should have the right to die with dignity and without suffering.  By the way I have had to watch a loved one waste away.  She begged us to let her go be with Jesus and suffered for several years before the Lord finally took her. I wouldn’t wish her death or having to watch her death on anyone. There are no good answers here and everyone’s situation is different.  My point is that we shouldn’t be so quick to judge a matter that we are not personally involved with.  This is not a defense of the events that have happened, and I’m not looking for a debate, but sometimes we need to look at both sides of the situation and realize God is in control and maybe he was ready for Terry to come home.
