A TIME-DATED DREAM SET TO BE RELEASED
I had a dream from the LORD last night (January 18, 2004). The Rukha hol-Hodshu
(the Holy Spirit) placed within me a great disturbance and a need for intercessory prayer.
I was also prompted by Rukha, Holy Spirit, to share this dream with the Body of Christ at
an appointed time.
It was a strange dream using the backdrop of a "video store" to demonstrate an overall
theme which contained an even deeper, symbolic meaning.
THE VIDEO STORE DREAM - A TIME OF PREPARATION
(pray, discern, and decide)
I was standing in a long line shuffling toward the entrance to a video rental store. The line
wound through the street with people standing quietly in single file. They all appeared to have
their heads hung down looking at the ground. One would think they were depressed, almost
hopeless. They did not talk to one another, but stood almost motionless like store-window
mannequins pushed along on a conveyor belt. As for me, I was in the line, but not of the line...
(observing - as in a movie), as it moved slowly toward the entrance of the video rental store.
When I finally arrived inside, a lady behind me started speaking with her husband. She was
very sad as she quietly spoke to him in a whisper. I overheard her say, "Well, this is all we
can do right now. There is nothing else we can do but stay home and watch videos."
This was a strange dream because of the symbolic meaning of "something happening."
When I came to the end of the line, there was a gate with a rope stretched from one side to
the other. When it was my turn to find a video, a sales associate stood off to the side-lines and
held up a sign that said "only three left." People inside the gate were alarmed and suddenly
scrambled to find the last three videos. I watched and it was true! When I looked all around
the store, the shelves were bare except for the empty covers and only three videos. Some of
the empty box covers stood up and others were carelessly thrown around. The standing box covers appeared prominently displayed - prompting desire - and temptation while
knowing the shelf was empty and people could not have what was once behind it.
The Rukha then woke me up early in the morning and said within my Spirit, "This is what is
about to happen. It is time to prepare "Spiritually." --And I was to share this dream with other
Believers at an appointed time. The emphasis here was not on physical preparations, as most
people scramble to sustain "the physical self," but Spiritual preparations for what is about to
happen. I then knew the real interpretation of the dream.
Interestingly, the next day while working on my computer, one of the first things that came to
my attention was a web site about dreams and visions. There - on the main index page - were the
words written as confirmation, "Lampholders' visions of what is to come!" (1)
It is the appointed time for you to pray, discern, and decide the meaning of this dream....
