Dear friends:The below is from Joe Berkey's newsletter, "God Talks and Acts Today." I know Joe doesn't publish anything unless he thoroughly checks it out. He is a stickler for reliability, almost to a fault. Some years ago Joe had an actual (not near-) death experience, and came back, and feels called to share God's miracles today in a world where even many (or most) of God's people are in a sad state of unbelief.
Jesus said, "Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive" (Matthew 21:21-22.)
Be blessed.
Jim

Prayers of Children More Effective #190ecopyright 2005, OK to forward, sent 4/13/2005
This story is about the daughter of a friend of mine. During high school, she worked at a fast food restaurant. One evening she went outside while working, slipped, fell down, and broke her arm. The manager saw the end of the broken bone pushing against her skin and wanted to take her to the hospital, but she insisted she was going home first.
At home, her dad said, “I have seen a lot of broken bones and this one is definitely broken.” The arm was swelling and becoming an ugly color. The bone was nearly ready to poke through the skin and become a compound fracture.
Her dad and mom were ready to take her to the hospital, but she asked them to “lay hands on it and pray for it and I believe God will heal it.”
The dad said he did not think that would happen. The son, her brother, said: “I do. Let me pray for it.” The dad, mom, and brother laid hands on her and the brother prayed a real prayer.
Suddenly, the bone moved back into place. They all four felt it happen. When they looked, the bone no longer pushed her skin up. The sharp pain was gone. Swelling and soreness remained, but the broken bone was healed. No hospital, no doctor, no cast, just Jesus and faith.
I have other cases where kids prayers were answered even when the parents prayers were not. Why does this happen? It’s simple; kids actually believe what The Bible says. They have not been infected by the trash and doubt people will heap onto them as adults. Kids have more faith. Many of them remain pure at heart through their young adult years.
Please forward this to everyone.
Thanks, Joe (Joe Burkey, McCullough 4-4-1)
