It is commonly believed and taught among students of Bible prophecy that the “false prophet,” Revelation 16:13; 19:20; 20:10, will be the person leading the apostate [Catholic] “church” during the Tribulation. But such a teaching is a total “assumption.” Where is the Scripture that backs up such a teaching? Where is the Scripture that states or even implies that such will be the case?
It doesn’t appear to have ever occurred to many prophecy students, especially in the light of current events, that there is another person who could easily fill the role of the “false prophet.” Let’s see…..
Another False Religion
There is another false
religion now on the world scene that is making great advances in the spread
of their religion. All over the earth its adherents are rapidly spreading
their religion into all nations. It is literally taking control of various
nations of the earth by immigration into those nations, multiplying rapidly,
and having its leaders run for political office. This has been going on for
many years now, and nation after nation has either come under the total control
of this false religion, or is on the brink of being taken over by them. Anyone
reading this should know what false religion I am speaking about. The Muslim religion! It has become a power to be reckoned with.

At some point during
the Tribulation there is going to be a confrontation between the Muslim religious
system and the advancing “world church” presently lead by the
Papal system in
A Compromise?
In order to achieve “peace” between the two factions and bring all false religions together into a one world religion, why not compromise? It is well known that the leaders of the Muslim religion have a great respect for the Roman Pope, but hate “Christianity.” There is just no way that a Roman Pope [or “the beast”] could ever bring the Arab [Muslim] nations of the world into harmony with a one world religious system unless a compromise could be made. Such a compromise would require placing a representative of the Muslim religion in a key position in the new one world religion. And what greater position could there be than to be second only to “the beast” himself? Yes, I am speaking of the office of “false prophet.” Why not? Do you have a Scriptural reason why this could not happen? Well?
A Clue?
Folks, how is “the beast” going to execute those who turn to the Lord during the Tribulation? Revelation 20:4 says,
“…..and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
Folks, this verse plainly states that the method of execution used by “the beast” during the Tribulation will be beheading. Isn’t that interesting? Not many years ago most of humanity had never even heard of beheading people. But it sure is in the news today. Of course some prophecy students have convinced themselves that this refers to beheading by “the guillotine.” But does it? Where is the Scripture that says that? Unless God’s Word actually states that a thing is a certain way, then don’t just dogmatically assume that it is that way.
Isn’t it true that nearly the whole world today knows that Muslims behead those that they have a special hatred for? Well?
A Possible Candidate
In order for this to come to pass there would have to be a Muslim leader that the entire Muslim world looks up to and respects; a Muslim leader that the entire Muslim world would follow without question; a Muslim leader that lusts after “power” over the whole world, and who would jump at the chance to be second in command to “the beast.” In view of the prophecies of God’s Word and the times in which we live, such a Muslim leader would also have to be alive today. Is there a Muslim leader alive today who meets these qualifications? A Muslim leader who very well may become “the false prophet?” I’ll let you decide for yourself.
