(IsraelNN.com) Tens of thousands of persons from around the country are expected to make their way to Gush Katif today, Wednesday, to take part in the holiday events.

The disengagement plan has prompted many to decide to visit Gush Katif during the intermediary days of the Passover holiday in a showing of solidarity with residents who are threatened with expulsion during the summer.

On Wednesday, many events are planned throughout Gaza and hundreds of buses are expected to make their way from across the country.

(IsraelNN.com) Hevron community officials reported 40,000 persons visited the holy city on Monday and Tuesday, the first intermediary days of the Passover holiday.

The Ma’arat HaMachpela (Cave of the Patriarchs) was open exclusively to Jews. The community hosted many holiday events, including live musical entertainment.

The highlight was the dedication of a new structure in the Admat Yishai neighborhood. Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin attended that dedication ceremony.
