TO KAY AND ALL DOVES RE:  05-05-05 AND PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Kay,  I think we all who await our Lord have the same anxieties about His coming, and want those we love to be with us, our children, their families, and the friends whom the Lord has sent for us to love and cherish.

Jesus said His return would be like "the days of Noah", and we know that Noah prepared the ark in accordance with the commandments of God.  That is what we all try to do....prepare our ark, by using our Lord's commandments.   It may comfort you to read, about Noah:
 

Chapter 7

1And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

Then there is Rahab the harlot, who hid the spies prior to the taking of Jerico:

Jos 6:17 -And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.

Then, in the books of Acts, chapter 16, is the prison guard who feared the earthquake and spoke to the deciples: "What what I must do to the saved?"...and the deciples answered, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou and thy house shall be saved".

Our Father in heaven is a very loving and merciful Father.  He knows how much we love those who are ours, just as in Jesus' last prayer, he prayed for those His Father had given to Him.    We have that same prayer, for those whom the Father has given to us.   In fact, we "follow the Lamb, withersoever He goeth"...and so see so much of what He went through, coming upon ourselves also.
It is a very natural and very human emotion, to want our loved ones with us.
