SECOND TEMPLE:  JOY AND WEEPING
I find it interesting that in the account of the foundation-laying (see my post today to Justin Fisher re:  his dream), which occurred in the "second month" Iyar / Zif, that there was both ecstatic joy, and also weeping.  The weeping occurred because the older returning Israelites remembered the glory of Solomon's temple, and felt the second temple was much inferior to that glory seen before.
      I find it interesting also that Solomon's temple had it's foundation also laid in the same month.
      We are looking for our Lord to rear up His temple this coming Ascension day May 5, 2005.   And we are told that on that day there will be "joy, that no man can take from you", and also, "weeping and gnashing of teeth".
