The Latter Rain
We know that the rapture will come just after the "latter rain".  In such verses as:

Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

Job 29:23 And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.

Proverbs  16:15 In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.

We know this because in the Song of Solomon this spring rain is referred to:

Song of Solomon 2:10 My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. 11 For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; 12 The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; 13 The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

The former rain in Israel is in the fall, and the latter rain is in the spring, which is a much larger rain bringing the summer and fall crops into their growth periods, and the flowers and migratory birds begin to appear.   This is the time that "MY BELOVED SPAKE TO ME" (The Lord Himself shall descend with a shout...)

This is early spring, not late spring.   And we will hear "Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away....."
