I haven't posted anything on Five Doves for about a year, but I do regularly read your "offerings" which I enjoy and I get a lot of spiritual understanding and teaching from them. Thank you to all who post, seeking to understand end time prophecy etc., and thank you John for all your work in keeping us in touch. Many of your ideas are incorporated in what I have written below.
Since my last effort at setting dates seems to have passed without incident, I am a bit hesitant about posting this, but the thoughts are insistent, and I do keep watching, so I'm putting them out there for your consideration.

JohnSAME NUMBERS - DIFFERENT DATES
Whilst thinking about various dates and how the "numbered days" of Daniel 12:11-12 fit into end time events, I have come to some dates that have not previously been mentioned on Five Doves. First I will give you the dates, and then the logic behind them. They are -
8th October 2001 (Monday) - Jewish date Sukkot VII (Hoshana Raba) Last Day of the Sukkot holiday.
plus 1290 days (And from the time that the daily ("tamid" Strongs 8548 - continually/perpetual) shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be 1290 days. Daniel 12:11)
20th April 2005 (Wednesday) - Jewish date Nissan 10/11 (Ta'anit Becharot) - Fast of the first-born. The date the Passover Lamb was chosen and brought into the House.
plus 45 days = 1335 days (Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the 1335 days. Daniel 12:12)
4th June 2005 (Saturday) - Jewish date - Iyar 26 (10 days before Shavuot/Pentecost) i.e. Ascension Day
calculated from the Jewish Lunar Calendar. (40 days after Passover)
plus 2 days (After two days will he revive us - in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. (Hosea 6:2)
6th June 2005 (Monday) - Jewish date - Iyar 28 (Yom Yerushalayim - Jerusalem Day) - 38 years after
the 6-day War when Jerusalem was regained.
You might be thinking, the first two dates are pretty obscure, and will wonder what happened on those dates?

8th October 2001 - The Day the White Horse Rode out -
Revelation 6:2 "...and I saw and behold a white horse; and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him; and he went forth conquering, and to conquer."

When writing that article I had in mind the current/continuing conflict in Iraq (2nd Iraq war) which began on 19/20th March 2003, and I did not consider that the Rider on the White Horse actually began to ride out sometime earlier i.e. on 8th October 2001 when the first bombing raid was carried out in Afghanistan. That is the first DATE mentioned above.

That date was also the last day of the Sukkot holidays -Sukkot VII - Hoshana Raba - Two Google searches uncovered the following information about that date in Jewish commemorations.
"While G-d judges the world on Rosh Hashana and concludes the verdict on Yom Kippur, on Hoshana Raba the verdict receives its final seal. One therefore has time to complete the teshuvah, repentance process, up until the closing hours of Hoshana Raba."

LOGIC
Regarding the 1290 days between the above date and the next, I have difficulty in applying these 1290 days (Daniel 12:11) to the taking away of the daily "continual/perpetual" - unless it is applied to the first act in the process of the end time events i.e., the breaking of the 1st seal of Revelation 6:2 - thus releasing the White Horse and Rider. I have always regarded these 1290 days as a "setting-up" period which lays the foundation for the abomination of Desolation. Could the "daily" (continual/perpetual) being taken away, relate to the end of the Church age period of grace, and the beginning of the end times???
I guess in retrospect, we can see how the (WHITE HORSE) U.S.A. and coalition of the willing have gone forth conquering and to conquer, both militarily and politically, in that we have seen Afghanistan and Iraq brought by military means to a politically democratic "conclusion"(?). We have also seen Col. Gadahfi of Libya "temporarily" (Ezekiel 38:5) surrender his atomic ambitions, and also see Syria withdrawing their troops from Lebanon.
All of this has been accomplished through the threat of military action. (The Rider on the White Horse carried a "bow" ("toxon" Strongs 5115 - weapon).
Ongoing pressure will be brought to bear on Iran and Syria regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions, and the terrorist organisations that they foster, and we don't yet know whether that pressure will extend to military action....
At present on the World Scene, I can see no other entity which is "conquering". "nikao" (Strongs 3528 - to overcome, overpower, to conquer, triumph.) Remember Pres. George Bush says "We will prevail..."

20th April 2005 - The Day the Pope was Elected.
This date recently came to our attention during the televised spectacle of the death of Pope John Paul II and then selection and induction of Pope Benedict XVI (previously Cardinal Ratzinger of Germany). I must state at this point that I have never in the past believed that the Roman Catholic Church was the entity named "Mystery Babylon", and this is one of the reasons why I have been reluctant to post these dates, nor have I believed in the past that the Pope was the AntiChrist, or the False Prophet who brings about the abomination of desolation. However...
Cardinal Ratzinger became the 265th Pope. There have been several postings on five doves showing various aspects of background regarding Pope Benedict XVI. I refer to three in particular -

Was the new pope announced on the 19th or the 20th of April? In Jerusalem was it the 19th or the 20th according to the time there?
This is important, because Adolph Hitler's Birthday is on April 20th. Ratzinger is from Germany and there are allegations that he was a member of the Hitler Youth as a child. Pretty amazing coincidences. I'm looking up for Jesus Christ. Thanks again! Agape

I just answered my own question.
White smoke poured from the chimney atop the Sistine Chapel and the bells of St. Peter's pealed at 6:04 p.m. (12:04 p.m. EDT) to announce the conclave had produced a pope. Flag-waving pilgrims in St. Peter's Square chanted: "Viva il Papa!" or "Long live the pope!"
Does this mean that Benedict was installed on April 20th in Jerusalem?

Jerusalem is 2 hours ahead of Greenwich time. Therefore, it would have been the 20th in Jerusalem when it was announced that the new Pope had been chosen. It's strange that it was Hitler's birthday. He was also a German Jew. Agape
And finally, a fourth posting (I cannot find the url.) stated that Ratzinger (original base spelling) was Ratsinger and the letter numbers add up to 666 by allocating 6,12,18 etc. to a,b,c, etc.
Additionally, Pope Benedict XVI's Inaugural Mass was held on 24th April 2005, the date of a Penumbral Eclipse of the Moon, and Jewish Pesach I - the following day the Omer Count down to Pentecost began.
LOGIC
Having read and noted all of the above, it has brought me to the point of posting these dates.
I still keep an open mind...

4th June 2005 - Ascension Day (working from the Jewish Lunar Calendar)
This date has been prominent among the watchers for some time, as has the 5/5/5 date which calculates Ascension Day from the Christian Calendar. This date is 1335 days from 8th October 2001 when U.S.A. bombed Afghanistan.
All previous calculations for this date have come from different sources. I guess what I have written might lend some strength to the calculations/arguments.
Whether or not this day proves to be the "blessing to those that wait and come....." will remain to be seen, but since the dates dovetail together with the next date, I will continue...

6th June 2005 - Jerusalem Day -
Celebration of the day during the 6-day War when Israel reclaimed the old city of Jerusalem.

This date is exactly 38 years from when Israel had the opportunity, but failed to take possession/control of the Temple Mount in 1967.
This refers to the generation that Jesus mentioned, who would see the establishment of Israel (The Parable "Fig tree" in 1948) - plus The Old City of Jerusalem (The Parable "leaves" in 1967), and who would see the fulfilment of the last days events in summer. (Matt.24:20 +32-34 Mark 13:18 +28-30).
This event has been likened to the wandering of the Israelites in the Wilderness after the bad report from the spies who were sent into the promised land. They wandered for a further 38 years before crossing over into the land.
The number 38 and Israel's failure to take possession of the Temple Mount has been likened to the "impotent man" (Israel) - (See - John 5:5) who spent 38 years waiting for healing at the Pool of Bethesda (means "House of Mercy") with its five porches (signifying "Grace"). It was after 38 years that Jesus came and healed him.
The number 38 has also been associated with the "safe?" number of stripes (lashes) a criminal could receive, to be sure they didn't exceed the allowable 40. (See Deuteronomy 25:2-3)
Hosea 6:2 has been previously interpreted as meaning two millenial days of the Church Age, i.e. 2000 years before God would again turn his attention to the Jews. However, I have often wondered ..."two days after what??"
LOGIC
I can imagine that two days after a mass disappearance, Israel would be turning their attention towards God !!
If that happened on 6th June 2005, after 38 years, then the prophetic understanding of John 5:5 would be fulfilled - right on time!!
Conclusion
At this time, there is increasing interest in whether Jews or Arabs have rights to the Temple Mount.
With the pending dividing up of the land, and evacuation from Gaza, postponed and now scheduled for 15th August 2005 (the day after 9th Av!), the pressure for Israel to return to the pre 1967 boundaries is mounting. Time is short.
Will God allow it to happen?
In addition "World Pride Day" celebrations are to be held in Jerusalem in the same week - 18-25 August 2005.
A final parade is due to be held on 25th August - Now that would be an abomination in a holy place!!
