"Rapture on the Brain 24/7"

Okay, heh, I know some (many-?) of you are like this, too.   I am SOOO glad that the Lord "connected" us through the internet cause otherwise, seems to me, it would be a lonely, lonely world for rapture-watching Christians.

You know how it is ~ even those who call themselves "watchers" still talk of their plans for "next year" ~ and then, "five years down the road from then...."; and maybe even about when the grandchildren come.  {their own children have not yet even graduated high school}

So, I'd be curious to know ~ how do you deal with such people who call themselves watchers, but can't see the forest for the trees?   I mean, if they can't see it, they can't see it, right!?   No use trying to force it down their throats or convince them otherwise.  They are so quick to point out how we are to "occupy" until He comes.  Yes, I can amen that.  But it's almost like they're NOT watching the signs & the times of the season at all, but rather going ahead with their own plans far into the future.

So many things do not turn out as we expect; I certainly hope some of these same people are not disappointed when Jesus interrupts THEIR plans with His soon appearance.  I don't mean to sound sarcastic though.

I say again, without the internet & the connections we can have here, can you just imagine how very lonely it would be to be a "watcher"??   Would we start questioning ourselves -- wondering if we were looney, for being such few in number who actually expect the Lord to come very, VERY soon?

Some times I think if I had one friend -- even just ONE, who liked to watch & expect & talk about the soon coming of the Lord -- we'd go to lunch & swap prophecy info, and heh, I likely wouldn't get much of anything else done.

Well, since we do get a crown of righteousness for merely WATCHING ~ there's certainly nothing difficult about doing it, it's just that so few sign up for the task, ~ but since we get a crown just for this, then it MUST BE something "important" to the Lord!  So we certainly should stop feeling that we're wasting any of our time by watching & expecting Him.

That heavenly crown we'll have will be our identifying emblem that we were interested enough in Jesus' soon return to WATCH for Him.  I hope negative emotions are not welcome in heaven, but if any should be, I would rather expect many others to be a little on the jealous side, wishing that THEY had been watching, too!   :)

Anyway, as a watcher, some times you feel so alone, or would that be a lone loon!?   hahah.   Or a dove??

Keep looking up!!   Regardless of whether others are watching or not ~ that trumpet WILL be sounding & calling us HOME, **SOON**!!

1 Thessalonians 4: 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I fully agree with the sentiment expressed below:

"They are so quick to point out how we are to "occupy" until He comes."
