"Prayer Request"

Dear Doves,
My family could really use your prayers!  2 1/2 years ago, the
company my husband was working for closed its doors, and my husband was
out of work for 26 months!  Last November, he finally landed a contract
job working for the local phone company, but before Christmas, the
company announced that it would be eliminating all contract jobs.  His
manager managed to keep him on a little longer, but today is his last
day of work.
Except for our IRA's, all of our savings are gone, and we have gone
deep in debt trying to provide for our 6 children.  I have a small
business I run out of our home, and business has been picking up, but it
is no where near enough to meet our needs!  All of the income from the
business is being used to pay off the expenses we had starting it, and
running it.
Our oldest is graduating from High School in May and has been
acccepted into The Colorado School of Mines!  As of now, he still
doesn't have his drivers licence because we cannot afford to pay for his
insurance.  We thank the Lord that our son has been given a couple of
grants, and a couple of subsidized loans.  He has applied for a 4 year,
full ride scholarship - the final selection of which is scheduled to be
announced on Monday - A few prayers here would be much appreciated as well!
Tomorrow (April 1st), my husband has a panal interview and some
testing with a company that he would really like to work for!  He is
feeling rather nervous about the interview, and unsure about the test.
Please pray for him to be at peace, and for everything to go well
tomorrow, and for the job to come through!  Also pray that I will have a
cheerful dispossition during this difficult time, since I know he is
counting on me to help keep his spirits up right now.
There have been countless times the last couple of years that he was
so close to getting a job, just to have the rug pulled out from under
him.  He is a good man with a strong faith and dedication to God - he is
in the choir at church, and he is always there for anyone who asks a
favor of him.  He has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, and
he is also the one who designed my website for my business - it is at
www.creativecropping.com if you would like to see it.
Growing up, I always thought that the only men that were unemployed
were the lazy ones with no ambition, who had most likely dropped out of
High School and generally had a drinking problem.  My husband is the
exact opposite of all of  that!
    Matthew 6:28 says, "Consider the lilies of the feild, how they grow;
they neither toil nor spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his
glory was not arrayed like one of these."  I love that verse, and I know
God loves us, and that even in the bad times we have received blessings
far beyond what Solomon could ever have dreamed of!  I also know that
security is something we have to rely on God for, not my husband's
employer, nor our bank account.  Yet it is still very hard to just go to
the grocery store, and not cry because I feel like I can't afford to buy
food!
Please be praying very hard for us today!

Your Sister in Christ,
Valerie Z.
