Tom,I believe you're onto something here. I have counted and confirmed that there are 2004 verses between 1 Cor 15:51 and Rev 4:4.
Rev 4:4 (2004th verse)The facts below speak for themselves:
And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
1) The 2004th verse contains two instances of the number 24. In gematria the zeroes may be dropped without affecting meaning. Hence the number 24 points to the year 2004.
2) The 2004th verse is the only scripture with repeated occurrences of the number 24!
3) The phrase 'clothed in white raiment' points to the Rapture. In all the transfiguration accounts of our Lord in the Synoptic Gospels, His raiment is described as white.
Matt 17:2
And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.Mark 9:2-3
....and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.Luke 9:29
And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
4) The phrase 'crowns of gold' points to the Rapture. "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." Rev 3:11
