The following was sent to me in an email. I thought maybe the Doves might be interested in it.

THE DAY OF DECEPTION—Jan Markell
Olive Tree Ministries, Inc.
www.olivetreeviews.orgWe’re in a day of such deception, just as Jesus predicted on the Mount
of Olives in Matthew 24. The Bible also says that believers will be
hated in the last days, and that good will be called evil and evil good
(Isaiah 5:20). And so it is. Monday night truth was attacked—even
ridiculed—by Peter Jennings and ABC, with their pals from the religious left.
During the very special week to Christians (and Jews as it relates to
Passover), the lamb of God was mocked, His divinity attacked, the
legitimacy of the literal interpretation of the Bible scorned, and Jesus was
compared to a political revolutionary similar to Ghandi. Paul was
pitted against Jesus as though Paul taught things that contradicted Jesus,
and some on the program called Paul “the founder of Christianity.”Brilliant but spiritually bankrupt minds tried to tell America that the
value system of Christian conservatives had as many holes in our
beliefs as swiss cheese.Any of the twenty million viewers who were not spiritually grounded
were left confused and misguided.Other networks, including Fox, have or will be presenting some similar
Christian revisionism on an unsuspecting audience if they do not know
their Bibles. And how many do?Jesus has simply gotten too popular today. He’s the talk of the town.
They’re even talking about him in the Muslim world as the Gibson movie
is being shown there with both good and bad results. Some Muslims are
very touched by the “The Passion” movie, and others are saying that all
Jews should be killed based on what they’ve seen in the movie. But it
would seem to be having a much more positive affect than negative. No
matter what you think of “The Passion”, in spite of some of its biblical
revisionism, it is impacting lives and causing people to examine the
life and purpose of Jesus. At the same time the Bible was being tarred and feathered by Jennings
and religious buffoons last night, Deepak Chopra was in my home town,
Minneapolis, MN “playing god.” He doesn’t have to try hard—his followers
said afterwards, “…I feel like I met God” said Gail, who attended his
meeting. “He’s right up there with the Dali Lama, Buddha, and Jesus.” As
the Minneapolis paper says, “They leaned close, asking him questions
about chronic illness, their golf swings, dreams, demonic possession,
diets and money. They slipped him business cards, thank-you notes, and an
invitation to a world peace concert.” This man perhaps more than any
other is responsible for the East seducing the West in mysticism.
Chopra’s schedule is booked three or four years in advance. One might
conclude he’s more popular than Jesus, but it’s his mysticism/occultism that
has seduced his followers. Jesus wins because his specialty is truth and
love, which was not shown in the ABC News special! You can read more about the Chopra meeting under “Current Headlines” at
www.olivetreeviews.org and also find an article there that will take
you to a location where you can protest to ABC/Jennings for their pitiful
attempt to mar this holy week. You will also find some stories there
relating to the current climate of chaos in Iraq. It is my opinion that
the “Prince of Persia” spoken of in the Bible is still alive and well
there. Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem this week (Ps. 122:6). There are
over 60 terror alerts as this is Passover time. Islamic terrorists
often pick the holidays most sacred in Israel to spoil the occasion.Interesting and perilous times, but aren’t you glad you were born “for
such a time as this?”Maranatha,
