"21 weeks of Jacob's Trouble?"

Jim asked if I thought Jacob's Trouble would "last" for 21 weeks and if I saw the "ending of Jacob's three weeks as being in 2014?

I haven't looked at it as "21 weeks" - I've only looked at it from the standpoint of the "Three Weeks of Jacob's Trouble" typology, illustrating how ("what was before, shall be again") might it be repeated - and so far it's holding true, right down to  the exact details.

But, also, here's something to consider....which would make it difficult to put in a "box of 21 weeks" ---  We know each Week stands for 7 years....however, when the first Week is over, and the Second Week begins, there is really no more "counting".
What I mean is this:
Going back looking at creation, God created for 6 days.  On the seventh day he rested.  (It's interesting that even today in Israel there are no words for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc....instead, they call the days of the week, "the first day, the second day, and so on.")  The days of creation begin with the evening, right?  So the "evening and the morning were the first day."  And so on.   Scripture repeats this UNTIL it gets to the end of the 6th day.  Gen. 1:31 ends that particular way of describing the days of creation because in Gen. 2:2-3 (the description of the 7th day) there is "no evening and morning."  It is left out.  WHY?
I believe it is because God sanctified it and blessed it and it's the day He "rested" and there will be no end to it.  No morning cometh after it (prophetically...in eternity, there will be no more "time" - It will be The Lord's Day!)

Now if you look at the ending of the First Week of Jacob's Trouble, you will find, as I previously mentioned, the second week is a "non-negotiated" week.  There is no contract or agreement really, just what was left over from before to be begun again...working again for Rachel.
However, the more important aspect of this second week concerning TODAY is the ending of the 6th day....or, the 6,000 years of man's dominion....which the chief rabbis declared in the year 5760, Sept. 2000.  If this is true, then it means THE SEVENTH DAY HAS BEGUN!  The 7th day is not under the control of "man".  His "time" is up.  It means the Lord will have "taken over the reigns" in order to implement His plan to redeem Israel.  Did He?  I think He did.  I think everything that has happened from Rosh HaShanah 2000, the new year of 5760, has been to direct and orchestrate the coming redemption of Israel.  It was at the beginning of the 7th day - Rosh Hashanah 2000 - that the Intifada was headlined around the world.  Our smalltown local newspaper even had headlines that blared,
"IT'S ALL ABOUT JERUSALEM!"  (I still have the newspaper article taped to my 'frig.)
The Lord's Day -the 7th day- does not "end."  We have entered it.  It is like a parenthetical pause between the ending of the 6,000 years of man's dominion and the start of the Kingdom of heaven on earth when Messiah Yeshua will reign.  He is in control now.  He will bring about the plan to redeem Israel and usher in the Kingdom and then take us into eternity for that 7th day REST forever.
Why should we worry?  If He is now in control, executing power and directing events to bring about His plan, we know that THE SET TIME HAS COME!   The details of the next 3 1/2 years are not ours to worry about.  We hang on and have faith and comfort one another where and however we have the opportunity.  He overcame - so will we through Him.

So, do I see the three weeks of Jacob's trouble as "ending" in 2014?  No.  That's only the beginning!!!!!!!!  Actually Jacob's Trouble will be "over" at the end of the second Week (when he shall be saved out of it)....when Messiah appears.....the third week simply illustrates the implementation of building his inheritance and going forth as Jacob went out from Laban.

I think this is the most exciting time ever to be living.  For awhile there I was getting depressed because things weren't happening as I thought they would - or should.  But when I decided to let God have the control, then I saw that He is indeed in control - and has been directly in control since the Second Week...or, the 7th day.... began!   Hallelujah!
