"Patrick H"

My brother Patrick,

Thank you for your post. It is refreshing to hear from others who see through much of the rhetoric spread through people more suseptible to the seducing spirits of our day, who are masterful at parading themselves around to ignorants souls such as we, as angels of light. But then, as the Chirch has taken on more and more of the characteristics of the world, she does become ever more suseptible to the deceptions of the principalities and powers that have sway in the World.

A brother well recognized as a prophet wrote a book (among numerous others) over a decade ago, with a vision of a great outpouring soon to come - sold over a quarter of a million copies. And it seems there are ever more today, who claim prophetic visions of the same. Trouble is, I have yet to see this come to pass. Furthermore, like you, I do not find word of this in Scripture. On the other hand, I do find where it is written "the love of many shall wax cold." And, that the "man of sin will not be revealed escept there be a falling away."

It would seem quite difficult for these verses to refer to the unsaved - as they are already fallen creatures. Is it possible they can fall farther?? I think not. Hence, the warning must refer to Christians. And a falling away is what I find to be more factual in the history of professing Christianity in my lifetime (the past four decades).

No my brother, your inference is correct! Both views cannot be valid. And while I would say, there is a great harvest in the offing - one so great, the world has not seen the likes of anything similar to it. Having said that, I would add, the harvest is only the result of the sore judgments that are just around the corner. The harvest will be a result of these judgments coming onto a rebellious lot - and not the fruits of a revival.

Your words are powerful and true, if we would only focus on that still small voice - the one who has been assigned task of bringing us into all truth, we would save ourselves from a myriad of trials and tribulations. But then, our nature and inclination is to follow after our own flesh, and a thousand other voices.

Thanks again for casting your voice of truth. And may God humble us, for we do need His grace in these last days.
