"444: Perfect Love through
Christ's Shed Blood"
Dear Doves,
There has
been a lot of interest in the Number 444. Here is my basic understanding
of this most important number. I begin with I John 4.18
There is no
fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath
torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Perfect Love
is written in the nominative case. Its value is:
Pefect
Love (Teleia Agape) = 444
This
coincides with the phrase "I love the Lord" from Ps 116.1:
Ahavti
YHVH (I love the Lord) = 418 + 26 = 444
Note that the first word, Ahavti (I love)
= 418, the index of the verse in I John where we find the Perfect Love.
God revealed His perfect love for us when
Jesus Christ shed His Blood on the Cross. The Cross, with its four points,
relates to the Number 4. The idea of shedding blood is spoken of in Gen
9.6:
Whoso sheddeth
man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made
he man.
The Hebrew
phrase is literally "whoso sheddeth the blood of man." The phrase of interest
is:
Sheddeth
Blood (Shophek Dam) = 444
A closely
related phrase, (with reversed word order and a change in vowel points)
also appears in Lev. 17.4, with regards to sacrifices made to the Lord:
What man soever
there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat,
in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp, And bringeth it not unto
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering
unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be
imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be
cut off from among his people:
The phrase
is:
He hath
shed blood (Dam Shaphak) = 444
This
coheres with the identity in Caps post from yesterday:
Flesh and
Blood (Sarx kai haima) = 444
This
all links to the central theme, based on the Dalet KeyWord Dam:
Blood (Dam)
= 44
Note
the reference to the Door (Petach) in Lev. 17.4. This is a synonym for
the name of the Fourth Letter Dalet (Door). Both Blood, Door (Petach) and
the first murder (associated with Gen 9.6 above) first appear together
in Genesis Chapter 4, where also Abel made a sacrifice pleasing
to the Lord. Recall also the blood of the passover lamb above on the lintel
of the door.
The Fourth
Letter Dalet is the symbol of the Door - both of entering the world (Birth)
and of exiting the world (Death). Thus blood is typically shed when
one enters or exits this Door, and the first occurrences of Blood, Birth,
Death and Door all occur together in Genesis 4, which opens with
the words:
And Adam knew
Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have
gotten a man from the LORD.
The word translated
as bare is Teled, and anagram of Dalet, the name of the Fourth Letter.
It is based on the fundamental root word Yalad, meaning Birth. We have
the identity:
Birth (Yalad)
= 44
With
a change in vowel points, Yalad becomes Yeled, meaning son or child. Both
are used in used in Isaiah 9.6:
For unto us
a child (yeled) is born (yullad), unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince
of Peace.
And here then
is the Key to it all. In Job 19.25 we read:
For I know
that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day
upon the earth:
We have the
identity:
My
Redeemer (Goahli) = 44
The
theme of the Door, Blood, my Redeemer, entrance into the Holiest (cf. Miqdash
= 444), and the flesh and blood (= 444) of Jesus are
all linked together in Hebrews 10.19-20:
Having therefore,
brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood
of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for
us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
So to put
it all together now, here are the words each believer in Christ Jesus may
say with full assurance of Faith:
My birth
into God's Family came through the perfect love of Christ my
redeemer when He shed His Blood upon the Cross.
He died for me, and sanctified me, and is now the Door
through which I enter into the eternal Holy of Holies, and am born
into life everlasting as a child of the Most High God. Now I
can say I Love the Lord!
Of
course, this is just a hint of what's really going on with the Numbers
4, 44, and 444, the Letter Dalet, the structure of Scripture, and the heart
of the Gospel. For more information, I offer this page from my site, which
has links to over 30 articles discussing the meaning of Dalet and its relation
to Spoke 4 of the Bible Wheel.
