"To Patrick"

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I started to come across alleged messages from God around 1998, and have been watching to see if they are true as well. If I believe one to truly be from God, I compare it to scripture to make sure it is sound. I also save the ones that announce specific events which are to happen in the world. Virtually all of the specific event messages have not turned out the way the messenger proclaimed, therefore the messenger must be labeled a false prophet. Some of them are still pending so I can't make a judgment yet.

As you have seen, many of them are proclaiming a soon outpouring of God's Spirit. Most of the messages of this type say things like "Soon there will be", "I am about to do", "The hour as at hand", or "I'm at the door". These are very subjective phrases. What each of us consider as "soon" varies from person to person. When we consider what God might mean soon to be, our opinion becomes even more subjective. I can easily see soon to mean several more years.

Moreover, I have personally seen and experienced a great moving of the Holy Sprit come over a very large congregation at David Wilkerson's Time Square Church in New York (I go there sometimes). I have never seen this at any other church to date. I believe it to be a very early sampling of what these messages are describing.

I do believe there is a scriptural basis for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the latter days, and I tried to convey this in my post. I am convinced that the God I know and love will not allow His most loved of all His creation, the human race, go though it's darkest hour, the Great Tribulation, without a great light shining in the darkness. This great light is the followers of Yeshua HaMashiach who are filled with the oil of His Spirit, having trimmed their lamps to go out into the midnight hour of darkness for the soon arrival of the Bridegroom. It will not be Israel the nation which still holds to the Old Covenant. These followers of Yeshua HaMashiach are, and will continue to be, comprised of both Jew and Gentile; the Church. Per Zechariah 12:9-14, Israel the nation will not fully realize the Spirit of Grace that we as Christians now have through Yeshua, until the 2nd Coming when they will look upon the one whom they have pierced. In addition, this group of people as pictured in both Daniel and Revelation will fall by the sword; there will be martyrdom. I do not believe they include the 144,000 because the 144,000 appear to be protected per Rev 7:3 - 4.

We must each allow the Word of God to speak to us. The truth will be revealed. Soon we will know which of us will be considered among the wise.

Your brother in Christ, Chris
