I've recently posted my hypothesis concerning the possibility that the final 7 years prior to our Lord's 2nd Coming could run from from Fall 2005 to Fall 2012.  In doing some further research on this hypothesis, I've come across some astonishing possibilities concerning the various time counts in days, months and years found in Daniel and Revelation.

Just to restate, this only a HYPOTHESIS on my part, but it seems this period could account for all the different biblical time counts: 1260 days, 1290 days, 1335 days, 2300 Evening Mornings, 42 months and 3 1/2 years synergistically.

Assume the Beast confirms the covenant with many around fall of 2005 (Dan 9:27).  This would mean that the approximate midway period would fall in 2009.  Now lets look at how each count ties into this 2009 midway period individually.  Please keep in mind there's a difference between the Gregorian Calendar days which start in the morning, and Jewish observed days which start the evening before.

1290 Days (Dan 12:11)

If you count 1290 days inclusively from Purim 2009, which actually starts at sundown 3/9/2009, you arrive at 9/18/2012.  With Dan 9:27 in mind, Purim 2009 would be the day when the Beast causes the daily sacrifice to cease.  Assuming Israel believes the Beast to be their messiah, and as part of the covenant he makes with them, they have reinstituted the daily sacrifice somewhere between 2005 & 2009.

Purim 2009 would then be a significantly spiritual starting point for the Beast to begin his destruction of Israel because Purim commemorates the time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination at the hands of Haman.  Now the end times Beast BEGINS his defiance against the covenant he made with Israel by first causing the daily sacrifice to cease somehow, perhaps by a law technicality. The end of this 1290 day count, 9/18/2012, is the day that the 2 days of Rosh Hashanah end in 2012.  Rosh Hashanah ends the morning of 9/18/2012.

Another thing to point out about the 1290 days is that this is just the starting point of the Beast's defiance of God and His people culminating in the Abomination of Desolation a short time later as we will see.

1260 Days (Rev 11:3 & 12:6)

Assuming the Beast causes the daily sacrifice to cease on Purim 2009 and is about to commit the Abomination which causes Desolation, God will not allow His people to be without support from Him in what is beginning to be the Great Tribulation.  So he sends His 2 witnesses to show He is still in control even though the Beast is raging on Earth.  They prophesy against the Beast for 1260 days.  What better time for them to begin then on Passover 2009.  About a month has gone by since the Beast stopped the sacrifice on Purim, and he is planning to commit the Abomination very soon.  So exactly on the 1st day of Passover, the evening of 4/8/2009 (my birthday by the way), the 2 witnesses begin to prophesy.  Counting 1260 days inclusively from 4/8/2009 comes to 9/18/2012, the day Rosh Hashanah ends.  The same ending point as the 1290 days of the Beasts defiance against God and His people.

The people of Israel who recognize what is happening by this point, will flee into the wilderness where God has a place prepared for them.  Those of Israel who do not recognize what is happening at this point will be doomed to be affected by what happens next.  Lets see what that might be.

2300 Evenings Mornings (Dan 8:9-14)

The 1st thing we must realize about this count is that it should actually be 2300 Evenings and Mornings as opposed to the Day counts of the 2 prophecies above.  The KJV incorrectly translates this passage to state 2300 days.  A correct translation into English should be evenings and mornings.  Several other versions, such as the New American Standard version, have correctly translated this passage .  This is further borne out in the 2nd half of this chapter regardless of what version you use.  The angel Gabriel is sent to Daniel to explain what Daniel saw in the 1st half of this chapter.  Verse 26 states "The vision of the evenings and mornings which has been told is true".

Counting out 2300 evenings and mornings would come to the equivalent of 1150 days.  [evening 1, morning 2 = day 1 / evening 3, morning 4 = day 2, etc]  This differencein counting as evenings and mornings as opposed to days is VERY significant.  All the other day counts are in days.  Why the difference?  Because with 1150 days and the Hebrew inclusive way of counting, the starting date of 1150 days would count as day 1.  On our Gregorian Calendar the Hebrew count would conclude on the date after 1149 24 hour periods have passed.  By counting in evenings and mornings starting on some Gregorian date in the evening, an actual full 1150days will transpire instead of just 1149.

You are probably asking why this is so significant.  Well, lets look at what I believe this count could be.  If we start with the 9th of AV 2009, which would begin on the evening of 7/29/2009, and count the 2300 evenings mornings (1150 full 24 hour periods from 7/29/2009), we arrive at the date 9/21/2009 which is a Friday, the beginning of a Sabbath.  If we just counted days we would have arrived the day before, on Thursday.

Now this is no ordinary Sabbath.  It is the Sabbath between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur known as the Shabbat Shuvah or Sabbath of RETURN.  We just looked at how the 2 witnesses prophesy 1260 days ending 9/18/2009.  Revelation says that at the conclusion of 1260 days, the Beast will kill them and their bodies will lie in the street for 3 1/2 days (Rev 11:7-8).

If they are killed on 9/18/2009, counting 3 1/2 days inclusively brings us exactly to the evening Sabbath of Return on 9/21/2009.  This Sabbath would be the 2nd Coming.  The two witnesses would "Come up Hither" on this Sabbath of Return, and for the next several weeks, Yeshua will "destroy those who destroy the earth" with His wrath.  At the 2nd Coming, at the end of the 2300 evenings mornings, Yeshua will cleanse the Temple once and for all, just as this prophecy in Daniel specifies (verse 14).

Daniel's prophecy of the 2300 evening mornings is also significant because it, unlike Daniels prophecy of the 1290 & 1335 days, specifically states the "desolation" of the Temple, an Abomination, and we know that the 9th of Av is the day that both the 1st and 2nd Temples were destroyed.  So might the 3rd.

Dan 8: 11 It even magnified itself to be equal with the Commander of the host; and it removed the regular sacrifice from Him, and the place of His sanctuary was thrown down. 12 And on account of transgression the host will be given over to the horn along with the regular sacrifice; and it will fling truth to the ground and perform its will and prosper. 13 Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to that particular one who was speaking, "How long will the vision about the regular sacrifice apply, while the transgression causes horror, so as to allow both the holy place and the host to be trampled?" 14 He said to me, "For 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the holy place will be properly restored." (NAS)

1335 Days (Dan 12:12)

These days are directly related to the 1290 and are given in the same prophetic clarity provided to Daniel in the 2nd half of chapter 12.  They run concurrently from the same starting point.  So counting from the start of the 1290 days on Purim 2009, sundown 3/9/2009, counting 1335 days inclusively comes to 11/2/2012.  This is also a Friday Sabbath.  The yearly Sabbath reading for this particular Sabbath spans Gen 18:1 - 22:24 which is the covenant with Abraham.  It is the also the 7th Sabbath counting inclusively from the Sabbath of Return on 9/21/2009.

So for 7 Sabbaths, the wrath of God will cleans the Earth.  The 7 thunders of God's wrath are unleashed, at the conclusion of which God's people will fully realize the covenant made with Abraham.

Rev 10: 4 Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them." 5 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven 6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, 7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets. (NKJV)

42 Months (Rev 11:2 & 18:4-7) / 3 1/2 years (Dan 7:24-25) / 3 1/2 years (Dan 12:1-7)

These refer to the same period of time, the Great Tribulation.  They run concurrently with the 1260 days of the 2 witnesses.  This is the period when the Beast is granted authority.  We are warned of this 3 1/2 year period of time in 3 separate prophecies.  Once the Beast is given full authority he is free to commit the Abomination of Desolation on the 9th of AV in 2009 and the subsequent desolations until the end.
