"RE: 2005 Rapture"

John, thank you for your post yesterday.  I found your charts interesting and plan to study aspects of them closely.  Although I have come to no definitive conclusions on the specific timeline myself, I do agree that 2005 could be a pivotal year.

I am certain that there will be no Rapture this year; it is not literally, prophetically or scripturally possible at this point.  I hope the Doves are not discouraged when no Rapture occurs in the coming weeks.  I am also fairly certain that the final 3 1/2 years of Great Tribulation will not begin this year either.  I had been holding out hope our Lord would return by Fall 2007, but I now believe it is very unlikely that the 1st half of the 7 year covenant has been obscured for the past 3 1/2 years, or that the Abomination of Desolation will be this spring.

My current thoughts are that it is no accident that the Road Map peace plan was to reach a final peace agreement by 2005.  I hypothesize the final 7 years leading to Yeshua's return will run Fall 2005 - Fall 2012, with the Great Tribulation running Spring 2009 - Fall 2012.  This 7 year period runs concurrently with the 859th Shmitah [7 year cycle] since Adam.  The 859th Shmitah is significant because it is the first one wholly contained within the 7th Millennium since Adam [many believe we changed from the 6th to the 7th sometime between 1999 - 2002].  If this period of time is a correct assumption for the final 7 years, we should see much change in Israel leading to some kind of agreement by Fall 2005.  Not necessarily a final peace agreement, but possibly a significant movement towards peace.  With Sharon's new disengagement plan gaining momentum, I believe world events are on a reasonably believable trajectory for there to be a breakthrough agreement by that time.

There are many in the Body of Christ receiving words from the Lord which indicate a great separation within the Body, which could be indicative of the great falling away which must occur before the man of sin is revealed; and that the faithful watchers will soon be able to identify the Antichrist.  These messages are consistent with the possible timeline and events mentioned above and also affirm scripture.  So I surmise that many of us will realize who the Antichrist is sometime between now and 2009.  These two events, the falling away and the revealing of Antichrist, along with the covenant, will be the biggest signposts indicating where we are on God's timeline.  This same period of time will continue to see accelerating and intensifying birth pains.  So I fully expect there to be additional trouble & war in the Middle East primarily & the world in general, more terrorism, more natural disasters, and stranger weather; all occurring with increasing frequency & intensity.  Watch for the Antichrist in the Middle East, most likely a follower of Islam.

Since I am convinced of a post Tribulation Rapture, it follows that I currently believe Fall 2012 is the most reasonable possibility at this time.  I will continue to search the scriptures, watch for signs and pray for guidance.  At some point in the near future, it will become abundantly clear where we are on God's timeline.  The first test period of this hypothesis is through Fall of 2005.  Time will tell.
