"ten virgins and rapture"
I think the big thing on the ten virgins
is all knew he was coming but only half were ready and could
go when the shout came because only half had done what was required
to be ready. The same is true in the rapture many know of the rapture
and that it is coming but not all are doing what is commanded
them, that is what is required of them, to go in the rapture. Also
many feel that somehow salvation=rapture that if you are saved you will
be raptured. Yes you must be saved to be rapture(unless under the age of
accountability) but just because you are saved does not mean you will be
raptured. The rapture is a reward like a crown base
on you doing something to earn it and that something is told to
you in Luke 21:36 and mentioned in many other verses.
Luke
21:36 Watch
ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy
to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before
the Son of man.
Mar
13:35 Watch ye therefore:
for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight,
or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Mat 24:42
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour
your Lord doth come.
1Th 5:6
Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and
be sober.
1Pe 4:7
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch
unto prayer.
Rev 3:3
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and
repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will
come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come
upon thee.
If
you don't go it doesn't mean you aren't saved and won't go to heaven just
that you didn't do what was necessary for that reward. Simply watching
for the rapture and praying to be worthy to go in it makes you
worthy. You must be saved of course unless under the age of accountability.
Confession of sins is part and parcel of the faith if you don't do that
you are christian. Confessions mainly are a issue of the heart. You
can say you are sorry but not really mean it. Only the Lord knows if you
are sorry for you sins in your heart. But one must watch and pray
to be worthy to go in the rapture for that is following his
commandment in Luke 21:36 and thus make you worthy
to go. And remember that salvation and rapture are not equal.
You can be saved and not be raptured.
