Psalm 90:4 and II Peter 3:8 declare that a thousand years is as a day with the Lord.    It is 2004--we could very well be in the pre--dawn hours of the third day on God's prophetic calender.      2000 years ago, a controversial man came on the scene, into a world beset by corruption in government and church, occultism and barbarism, moral and sexual perversion in the land.    This man Jesus came with message and demonstration of the Great love of God for mankind.  For this he was wrongly accused and tried for blasphemy and treason; then subjected to hideous suffering and death by the most painful and humiliating way--crucifixion!    For love he received hate; for mercy he received torture; for truth he received slander; for life he received death.   But on the third day,as he promised, HE  AROSE !!!  And  now ,2000 years have passed; a controversial movie has come on the scene, into a world beset by corruption in government and church, occultism and barbarism, moral and sexual perversion in the land.  "The Passion of Christ" may indeed be God's final wake-up call to a dying world and sleeping church just before the corporate resurrection--the RAPTURE !!  This enchore (in representation) of Calvary appearing in the midst of homosexual marraiages, expose's of corrupt politicians, CEO's, and clergy, wars, etc. is parallel to conditions 2000 years ago. Sinner and saint are all confronted with a bloody cross, and are "put there" vicariously by film. Again, JESUS is in the news!!    My comments here are not about the movie itself or its impact on audiences. Many have expounded on that already.  Rather, my focus is on the eerie simularities between the actual Passion and its re--enactment.   Consider:   when Jesus gave up his spirit,crying "It is finished!!",triumphantly, three significant events occurred immediately afterward.  Between his death and resurrection, the earth quaked, the temple curtain ripped top to bottom, and graves yielded O.T. saints alive.    True, disasters and quakes are happening with more frequency and intensity (prophesied), but more pointedly, governments of the earth are being shaken by terrorism, economic uncertainties, and Mid--East turmoil. Global merging is more and more seen as a means of security and stability. Simultaineously, religions of the world are gravitating to the umbrella of ecumanism. Compromising,lukewarm, institutionalized churches will be sucked in, despite professing to be Christian. This evolving global church will not worship the true God or the true Christ, but will bow to the beast (Man, flesh). God will do away with all these as he did in Jerusalem that day. From top (leaders) to bottom (laity) he is going to judge sin and evil.  BUT again graves will open and N.T. saints will arise and with those still alive join Jesus in the air, escaping judgements to come on a rebellious world.  NO CROSS---NO RESURRECTION !!!  Nothing happens by chance: this movie is a beacon from the Lord to rescue souls from the tide of evil sweeping the world in these last days. The greatest story ever told (God's unconditional Love for US) is still being told!! Consider these things I've received from Holy Spirit. Once again the cross is before the eyes of the world--have YOU visited Golgotha within your heart?? He did it all for me--for YOU!!   May his life and light shine upon all  seeking souls.
