HI SHELLY
I'll go with the Matthew 17:1 Scripture first; and I'm throwing in verse 2 in there as well, because it pertains to the overall subject matter also.
Over the past several days I've been discussing John's Gospel, Chapter 17 in here. What I haven't yet mentioned is that verse 24 in that chapter has stuck out like a swollen thumb for some reason all that time; so I've pasted that verse below as well.

MATTHEW 17:1-2
1) And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart.
2) And was transfigured before them; and his face did shine as the sun, and his rainment was white as the light.

JOHN 17:24
24) Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me fore the foundation of the world.

A close reading of the two above Scriptures will show that they both can be threaded together for sharing basically the same message.
It is still about the separation message that I've made mention of recently.
You are already familiar about the teaching of the Lord Jesus, for there being 'many called, but few chosen'.That's what your Matthew 17:1 dream is about, and I'll explain that.
For this context, the 12 Disciples represents the many being "called".
But only Peter, James, and John are typed as being the "chosen".
In fact as many of us know that Peter, James, and John are often referred to as the "inner circle".
That is because those three were often picked to go off alone with the Lord Jesus; where they were almost always witnesses or hearers of private and intimate information and details concerning the Lord Jesus and the Kingdom of Heaven; which was not available to any of the other Disciples or any other human eye or ear at the time.
And the transfiguration experience was one of those times, when only the "inner circle" was in attendance. Those three Disciples represents the "chosen" Bride, whom the Lord Jesus has picked to set apart, to reveal His Glory to; and to further illustrate this; John was later the one who of course who was actually called up to Heaven in the Spirit, as a Rapture typing before the really bad wrath of the Lord God was shown to be unleashed.
A further illustration is the ten virgins; where the ten was called, but only half of them was actually chosen.
As I said above, this is still about the separation going on; and "obedience" should be the byword right now.
Your Matthew 17:1 Scripture dream bears witness to the "chosen" being today singled out and set apart from the many "called"; and of which won't be apparent until the actual physical separation occurs.
Which will be when shock and grief will abound among the many who will be left.
Lets all Pray that we won't be among the shocked ones left here standing then.
If there is any revival to be had; it will probably having its starting point right there.

Now as far as the mysterious chapter starting with a "J". <G>
There are two such chapters in the Gospels; they being Matthew Chapter 7 and John Chapter 8.
And each of them deals with the judgment of others and or judging others, with each teaching at the beginning of the chapter.
This is sort of self explanatory isn't it? <G>
And it's something that the Lord Jesus doesn't look kindly on, and won't tolerate without repentance.
And.......I might add, that is one of my own daily grinds, and it's really not a laughing matter, so I'll just....... <G>
Also, I don't consider the "J" subject matter to be directly related to the Matthew 17:1 Scripture.
I might also note that I once had an experience where the Lord God spoke to me while I was sleeping, and give me two Old Testament chapters.
The first one being Isaiah Chapter 41 is the one that I remember the most clearly; with the other being a chapter in Proverbs, but that chapter skips my mind right now, because it's been so long; but with time I could find it again.

(LUKE 21:36)
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.____________________________________________________________________________
