Dear Jim et al,
 
   How strongly I concur with this sentiment about the timing of this unique documentary of the cross of Jesus. Of course we already have several 'Life of Jesus' films, notably 'The Jesus Film', but since when have they received the publicity that the Holy Spirit has allowed this one?
 
   I was reading Zechariah 12 (in a remote hut in the Scottish highlands!) this week, thinking of the position of national Israel after the returning Lord lifts the church out before the world's judgement, and v 10 struck me:
 
       "I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn."
 
   I imagine 'The Passion' being shown repeatedly in Israel, and great mourning and repentance then, though it will be the beginning of perilous days if you read chapter 13.
 
   Surely it is the Grace of God to give a 'last chance' to today's video-besotted generation to see The Cross in the very film medium which so preoccupies the World's imagination. Better now than after the Rapture!

  PS A small aside - it seems to me that the 'tents of Judah' in Zech 12 may actually mean the Church of Him who was 'of the House of Judah'. Why?
 
 1. They find encouragement from (v5) the God of Israel's defence of His earthly people 'Jerusalem'.
 2. Their 'clans' (v6) protect physical Israel from the surrounding Muslim nations - 'Christian - founded America? Or maybe praying saints.
 3. The Lord SAVES THEM FIRST (v7) ie the Rapture of the Church so that it (The Spiritual Israel) may take precedence over what is currently only 'natural' /physical' Israel'. 'The fulness of the Gentiles' must precede the lifting of natural Israel's 'temporary hardening'. (Rom 11v25) The natural will never be allowed to compete with the spiritual in God's kingdom.(Gal 4v30) Their time is yet to come. And then 'All Israel will be saved' - ie the believing Jew and the believing gentile. (Romans 2v28,29; 11v 25,26; Galations 6v15,16)
 4  A similar picture may be seen in the prophecy of Ezekiel regarding the future joining of true Spiritual Israel after the vision of the Spirit coming in to the 'Dry bones' ie dead natural man. It will be from two constituents - 'The house of Judah' (ie the Church?) , and the 'House of Ephraim' , the Jewish people, (though now they better answer the 'silly dove' of prophecy - Hosea 7v11 - than the heavenly dove!)
  And how will they be joined? Paul says Jew and Gentile become 'One body by the cross' (Ephesians 2v16) Ezekiel says it will be by the binding together of two pieces of wood! (Ezek 37v16-19) In a cross shape?! How appropriate a vessel is this 'Passion' movie.
