You said: On a lighter note, Granny Priscilla will call me double minded, but remember, Granny, Paul said that we see through the glass darkly. My response: Here again is another confusion---you have not understood the statement he made in the proper context. If you carefully examine the verse you just quoted---you will notice that Paul was referring to seeing God in all His glory and fully knowing God just as God fully knows Paul----that is the context of what Paul is saying---a lot problem arises when we take verses out of contextes----it veils our understanding---contrast the below verses to the verse you quoted and see if it doesn't contradict:
1 Thessalonians:
4. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief."
5. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
You said: I know that the closer we get, the better we see.
My response: You have just contradicted yourself by saying we see through dark glasses and now you say we will see better as we get closer----hmmm---I just wonder where you're coming from---but anyways you're exactly right because it is so stated in Daniel.
"Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." Daniel 12:10
In Christ,
Granny Priscilla!
