You said: If judgment begins at the house of God, then why should the Church - who is the temple of the living God - be exempt from accountability.
My response: Because Jesus said she could. Read Luke 21:36 and Rev. 3:10. Judgment is for those who weren't found faithful when Jesus will come at the rapture---like the fuulish virgins.
You said: To think that we shall no be accountable would be inconsistent with Scripture. Are we not told, we shall give an account of what we have done with the talents He has given us (Matt. 25)?
My response: Quit confusing yourself. The church will be primarily judged at the judgment seat of christ. But--the fuulish virgins who are left behind will be beheaded by the beast. Does that sound like a picnic to you?
You said: What I do find interesting: Most in the church take the convenient path - a pretrib rapture. Yet, there have been numerous saints of the past, known to have had a deep walk with the Lord, who held a different view.
My response: So----basically you are exalting the words of famous saints in the past to that which is clearly written in scripture itself. You have forgotten that they are just men and women just like you and I and are therefore prone to error and wrong judgments and interpretations just like anyone else. The bible is the only authority on all biblical subjects not some commentary by famous saints. While you are saying that pre-trib christians are holding onto a convenient path, you must be oblivious to the fact that it was Jesus Himself who taught it. Read luke 21:36 & Rev. 3:10. I suggest you study your Bible and leave commentaries alone cause your statements are mostly misguided and sound more Medo-Persionish than Babylonish.
In Christ,
Granny Priscilla.
