Carl Lindquist had sent in an article to 5doves on 4/2 called Scientists Predict Major Southern California Quake Within Five Months which showed an earthquake with the 6.4 magnitude or greater at http://www.ktvu.com/news/2968506/detail.html
Like your dream, it is supposed to take place in the Southern California desert. As you know, Jesus told us in Matt. 24:7 that earthquakes in diverse places is one of the signs of his coming, and all the things listed at the beginning of that chapter are part of the beginning of sorrows which we are presently experiencing right now.
 
You  also mentioned in your dream that the ground is still shaking, but you are not shaking.  If a believer places his or her full trust in the Lord, their faith will not be shaken regardless of the terrible circumstances taking place around them.  We are also told in Hebrews 12:22-29, "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse ot him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire." Just continue serving the Lord with reverence and a godly fear and put your trust and faith fully in him and in his word because we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved.  That gates of Hell cannot prevail against the kingdom of God. Those who don't have faith in the Lord and in his word will be shaken and fall away from the faith and from his word.
