Dear John & Doves,A couple of the Doves so far have mentioned that Jacob worked 21 years for Laban when he only worked 20 years. Jacob worked 7 years for Rachel. Laban tricked him, and Jacob ended up marrying Leah the oldest daughter instead of Rachel. He then worked another 7 years for Rachel. However, he did not work 7 years for his cattle; he only worked six. Jacob said to Laban in Genesis 31:41, "Thus have I been twenty years in thy house; I served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy cattle: and thou hast changed my waged ten times." (I just thought I would set the record straight as to how many years Jacob actually worked for Laban.)
God bless,
