In reference to the following question posted at:http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/apr2004/donnas415-1.htm
"I wonder if the white horse in Rev 6:2 is a picture of the same white horse in Rev. 19:11. Any thoughts?
Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war."
First of all, the man on the White Horse in Rev. 6:2 is NOT the same as the one on the White Horse of Rev 19:11!
Revelation 19:11 obviously refers to the 2nd Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ when He comes to end the war of Armageddon.
Whereas the rider of the White Horse in Rev. 6:2 is EVIL (either that or Jesus is riding with very bad company!). We don't know for sure WHO the rider is on the White Horse of Rev. 6:2....there is much speculation about his identity. But one thing we know for sure, is that the Rider of the White Horse of Rev. 6:2 is NOT JESUS CHRIST! Having said that, most believe that it references the Anti-Christ who attempts to convince everyone that he is the long awaited Messiah (hence the use of a white horse....which usually means the "good guys".....but in this case it is Satan's puppet disguised as and attempting to convince the world that he is a "good guy"....the Savior the Messiah. But we know better.) The Anti-Christ remember needs to conquer the world and put everyone under a one world government (of which he will be the head of!)
For an excellent bible study on this particular subject, I will refer you to Chuck Missler's website:
