"To Soraya"

I just wanted to apologize to Soraya.
I did not mean to sound insulting, and your reply did have some valid points.
However, I didn't mean to imply that the Republican Party was void of any corruption.  I am not entirely comfortable with some of their policies either.

I wrote that in complete anger after watching that incredible abomination on Television Sunday.
But in spite of everything, it appears that the Republican  Party Officials are the only allies Christians have in this country right now that have enough clout to make their voices heard.  I know they are a far from perfect voice, but it almost seems like that's all we have right now on the national level that can be of any effect.    I only intended to make people stop and think, but after reading your reply, maybe I went too far.

It just seems like such a critical time right now.  With pending decisions from the Supreme Court that will probably seriously affect our freedom to express our faith, it just seems like we need to do everything we can to keep John Kerry from being elected, or surely these sweeping changes will become reality.  I think Bush will at least do all in his power to keep this Country's acknowledgement of God in place.  And I really want to believe that President Bush is a man of faith and I pray that he really is, but I am a little wary of stating that as a fact.  I have seen some things, and some posts on this website that do concern me, but I still cannot cast a vote for someone who is O.K. with unlimited abortion without any boundaries.

And what if the Lord tarries much longer than we think.
I am worried about the future for my Children if  we're all still here 20 or so years from now.  I hope we're not, but what if we are ?  It is just so devastating to see how this Country is rejecting God on a bigger scale every day.  And it just seems to me like liberal democrat politicians are leading the way.  And I really have a sinking feeling that John Kerry may win this November.

I know God is ultimately in control no matter what happens and that we shouldn't worry about the future, only trust him.

But how could he not be angry with us for just sitting back and not saying anything while those who are intent on thumbing their noses at God have just ascended to so many positions of power in this Country.

Yes, your right.  We're all guilty.  Most of us have had a pretty comfortable lifestyle thanks to the blessings God has bestowed on this Country.  But the more he has given us, the more materialistic and less spiritual we have all become.  You would think it would be the other way around.  I do feel very ashamed for taking so many of God's blessings for Granted over the years.

But you're right, we should be praying for God to change their hearts.  And I am trying to do that, but it is really hard.

But please everyone, pray long and hard before you cast your vote for John Kerry.  Even if you can't vote for Bush in good conscience, there are some other third party candidates that might be an option.

And I am sorry if I offended anyone else.  I really am sorry.  I just feel so much anger right now, I am having a hard time expressing it the context I would like.

God Bless you.
