The article Why are Christians losing America? missed something VITAL and CRITICAL to our understanding. Why did Jesus say

"You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.  (Mat 5:13)

 Do you sense that the Salt (the Church) is being trodden under foot of men?
 
  Why?
 
  For years the Church taught that Christians should not enter the entertainment industry because it was evil... so, we did not salt that industry. 
 
 The Church taught that higher education, based on Greco-Roman thought was evil...and so we did not salt the world of education.
 
  For centuries Churches have claimed that their denomination was superior in calling and theology than the others.. and the world around use lost its taste for our brand of salt.
 
  The Church told us to obey the governing authorities... so government gladly took authority over us.
 
  We watch politicians swear on the Bible and then watch them pass millions of un-biblical laws.
 
  We allow Government to tell us that there is a separation of Church and State... because our church never taught usthe Constitution. 
 
 The Church told us not to get involved in politics because the Kingdom of God is not flesh and blood... and sothe political world has lost its savour too.
 
  Salt is being trodden under foot by men.
 
  HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
 
  The Government told the Church not to educate its sheep about politics, to stay out of the WORLD, or else it would take away its tax deduction.
 
  Did you hear that?
 
  Most Churches have SURRENDERED to the Government its God given right to FREE SPEECH... in exchange for a 501c-3 tax deduction.  In other words, so that the Church could receive your tithe, your offerings... it had to tell you, not only that God only really blessed tithers you but that the Government and the IRS would bless you with a tax deduction as well... a double blessing!!!
 
  FOLKS... SHEEP... listen
 
  The Church has lost its savour... because it separated itself from the world.. and largely for a tax deduction that renders onto Caesar. We are perishing for a lack of knowledge.
 
  WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
  Feel guilty. Feel betrayed. Get angry with yourself.
 
  What is the remedy for salt without savour?
 
  Salt without flavor is cast out.  This nation is casting the Church out of the public arena because WE HAVE LOST OUR SAVOUR.  The world knows that the church can be bought with a simple tax deduction!!!
 
  The WORLD is smarter, more creative, better educated, richer, more politically astute.... and only because we have failed to salt it....(to be in the world but not of it).  The WORLD trods us under foot.
 
  What to do?
 
  1) stop accepting tax deductions from your Church. Take Free Speech instead.
 2) tell your Church to give back its 501c-3 and trust God for its finances.
 3) salt the Earth... get involved in education, politics, entertainment.... be different... be better... take a stand.
 
  The WORLD hates us not because we are such perfect examples of Christ but because we have lost our savour.
 
  The WORLD does not hate us because we are so godly. It hates us because we have lost our savour.
 
  The answer to all of this was clearly given by Jesus:
 
            "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and           glorify your Father which is in heaven."  (Mat 5:16)
 
  BRETHREN,,, the answer is blowing in the wind.  Go talk to your pastor.  Talk to yourself.  Become salt and light.
 
  The WORLD needs you.

  Go out and love it to death.
